Yes, you certainly can. This training method is based on spotting the difference between two audio samples, so the listening environment is not critical.
By default, we allow to activate the software on two different computers (laptop and desktop, for example) as long as they are not used at the same time.
However, if you ever need more or have any problems with your activations, just contact us, and we will work it out.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a demo version right now. But you can always check out our videos and screenshots. These are some of them:

TrainYourEars works both in PC (Windows) and Mac (macOS).
Mac (macOS)

License Keys
By default, you can activate TrainYourEars on two different computers (laptop and desktop, for example) as long as they are not used simultaneously. But if you ever need more or have any problem with your activations, just contact us, and we will solve it.

TrainYourEars requires an Internet connection for the initial activation.
If your computer is not connected to the Internet and you need to activate the software, you can temporarily connect it to the Internet to perform the activation. Once the software is activated, you can disconnect it from the Internet again. If you try to open the software without an Internet connection in the future, it should work without any issues.

Purchases
Yes, buying TrainYourEars as a gift is possible. You just have to click here to add the “GIFT” product to the cart. Then continue with the checkout process as usual.
Once you have finished the purchase, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions to send us the information of the person who will receive the license.
We need to know:
- Name (both name and surname)
- Country
- Date preference (optional)
- Personal message (optional)
Finally, we will prepare the license and we will send this person an email containing the download links, the license key, instructions about how to activate the software and your personal message.
If the date is not important, we will send it as soon as you answer.

The price in USD (or other currencies) depends on the daily USD-EUR ratio.
You can see the price in USD and other currencies on the checkout page. You will find the currency buttons just after the billing details (see image below). Click on “USD” or any other currency to see the price.


After the purchase, you will receive an email with your Download Links and a License Key to activate the software.

Once you are on that page, enter your Order ID or License key. You can find both of them in your purchase email.
If you have any problems, do not hesitate to contact us. We’ll be happy to help.
After the purchase, you should receive an email with your Download Links and License Key. It usually takes less than 5 minutes, although, on some occasions, it might take longer.
If the email is not there after a while, check your spam/updates/promotions folder.
If the email is not in those folders, don’t worry. It’s not common, but sometimes emails can fail. Contact us, and we will send it again.
Yes. TrainYourEars is a one-time payment with lifetime support 🙂
If you tried to purchase TrainYourEars, but your credit card wasn’t accepted, please try again using Paypal. Sometimes it seems to work better. You don’t need to create a Paypal account; you can pay with your credit card as well.
Just go to the checkout page, select the Paypal Express Checkout option and click on “Pay with PayPal. Finally, choose the “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” option.

Troubleshooting
If you have BitDefender and TrainYourEars doesn’t open, please update to the latest version. You can use this page to get your Download Links and License Key:

If you have installed a new version of macOS and TrainYourEars has stopped working, it’s enough to update to the latest version. You can use this page to get your Download Links again:

Please try switching to the ad_portaudio drivers. They usually work better than Core Audio with BlackHole.
Sometimes, things can go wrong, and you may want to reset the preferences to see if it helps. Or maybe you want to start again from scratch.
Remember to export any exercise you want to preserve before resetting the preferences.
PC (Windows)
Go to C:/Users/YOUR-NAME/AppData/Roaming/Cycling'74/ and delete the TrainYourEars EQ Edition 2 folder.

The folder AppData is hidden, but you can see it activating Hidden Items in the View menu.

Finally, empty the Recycle Bin.
Mac (macOS)
Go to Delete the folder /Users/your-name/Library/Application Support/ and delete the TrainYourEars EQ Edition 2 folder.

Library is a hidden folder but you can open it using the Finder option Go->Go to Folder... and entering ~/Library/Application Support.


Finally, empty the Recycle Bin.

You should keep the song playing and then switch to the “Training” tab to train.
- Step 1 – Go to the Audio Player and start playing a song. Don’t stop it.
Step 2 – Click on “Start training” and start the quiz.
